Since this is a porn blog, it's not all that surprising that the average reader is more likely to be into porn, sex, and surfing the net, and less likely to be addicted to gambling or stealing. However, only one person wasn't addicted to anything, so basically we're all (but one) in the same addiction boat.

Being hooked on things like porn, sex, or the net, doesn't involve the obvious negative consequences of, say, kleptomania or gambling, nor the physical costs of drug dependency. However, if a habit is out of control then it stops being fun, no matter how harmless it might seem.

Post-production

Post-production is the name for all the work that gets done on the video after it's been shot. Part of post-production sometimes involves filtering the video to adjust colour and brightness. Here are examples of how different filters can change an image.

Below is the "original" image, without any filter. It's too dark, and the colours are a little blue-ish which makes the image look cold. Above is the same image with a "Warm Gamma Correction" filter, which makes it brighter and warms the colours to a more orange tone. This is my favourite filter, but I'm colour-blind so I have to be careful about changing the colour balance. What looks like a beautiful tanned skin tone to me might look green or orange to everybody else (I don't even know if the example here is correct - you tell me!).

Below are two more examples. "Neutral Gamma Correction" brightens without changing the colour tones. This looks fine to me, but personally I prefer the warmer version. "Brightness/Contrast" has a similar effect to gamma correction, but it often makes light areas too bright, causing them to burn-out like an over-exposed photograph. I used to love the brightness-contrast filter, but now I prefer gamma correction because it doesn't have that problem.

Poll results: Male pubic hair

Results of the poll are in! "Trimmed" wins the popular vote, "fully-grown" comes in second, and "shaven-off" trails in last. I'm totally in agreement with this. If things have grown completely wild then a trim can tidy it up, but genitals do not need hairstyles. For example, the not-atall-subtle trick of clean-shaving the base of the cock and trimming a hard edge around it (see exhibit A, above left). Yes, trimming around the base kind of makes the cock look longer (from a distance, if you squint), but a bald patch with a severe "Dave Hill from Slade" fringe makes your cock look like its toupee has slipped. Sometimes nature knows best.
