Ryan Sullivan's Island
Click on the image below to go to a video blog all about TIM. It's made by Ryan Sullivan. Twice a week he posts a short episode, mostly documenting whatever's going on in the San Francisco offices of TIM. This is a link to Episode #2: Intro to the Cult.
I don't appear in Ryan's videos, since he's shooting in San Fran and I'm in London, but I posted this here because he's used a picture of me in the tattoo section, along with pictures of Damon Dogg, Brad McGuire, James Roscoe and others. Check out the other episodes on Ryan's blog: sullivanstim.blogspot.com

Stolen wallet
Yesterday my wallet was stolen from me while I was on the London underground. The station attendants gave me this form. I doodled on it while I was at the bank, waiting to organise my replacement bank card. The picture shows me, grumpy about having my wallet stolen, and comforted by a supernatural entity.

Used jockstrap in the mail
Treasure Island Media is based in San Francisco. Since I live in London, that means communication with my fellow employees is done by email or phone. However, occasionally something will happen that makes me feel a little closer.
Recently I needed some dvds mailed over to me. The guy who was organising the package asked if there was anything else I wanted included. Now, this particular guy has a lot of physical attributes that I admire - I know this from having seen a couple of holiday snaps of him (seen here) - so, half-joking, I told him to add to the package a piece of underwear that he'd worn for a couple of days.
Sure enough, a few days later it arrived along with the dvds, and here it is. Not just worn, but well infused with sweat and cum from this hot and generous man. I've kept his photos anonymous here because I have no idea if he'd want himself broadcast over the net, and I wouldn't want to make him regret having done me such a cool favor by embarassing him with it.
You know who you are, mystery jock man. Thanks again.

Happy Birthday Dan Fisk!

I met Dan last May in Chicago. He was part of a TIM contingent who were there for the International Mr Leather event. I flew in from London to meet them, and got to do some camera work too.
Meeting Dan was definitely a highlight of my trip. He is without doubt one of the friendliest most charming men I've ever met, with a smile for everyone. Not only was he great company during the week, but on the last day I was lucky enough to shoot a scene with him. It finished up with me getting an angle from underneath, lying on my back in a puddle of Dan's fuck sweat and watching through the camera as he delivered one of those great Fisk cumshots. Happy days!

R Crumb: The Pleasure is Ours
This cartoon kind of reminds me of how I feel about making porn.
It says:

THE PLEASURE IS OURS, FOLKS!
We really like drawing dirty cartoons!
It helps us get rid of pent-up anxieties and repressions and all that kinda
stuff... We hope you enjoy lookin' at 'em as much as we enjoy drawin' em!!

Tom Hanks naked dog wrestling
I just watched Turner and Hooch for the first time. I'd never thought of Tom Hanks in sexual terms until seeing this movie. He spends a lot of screen time in his underwear, perhaps for the benefit of mothers bringing their children to the cinema. If I'd seen this as a child, I'm certain I would have developed a big crush on Tom's thighs.

MacBook "Pro" sucks
I should be editing today, but my MacBook is randomly shutting down. Again.
Today it was randomly shutting down within seconds of starting up. Each time it gave me about five keyboard hits before it shut down. Then it stopped switching on.
So I'm back on the phone to support, and back to the Mac store, 40 miles from home, for a date with a Mac "genius". Apparently my logic board will probably have to be replaced.
I'm writing this post from my Windows PC. The old reliable.

Fetishised female bodies
I just finished reading a collection of Eric Stanton fetish comics, and loved them.
I was reminded of other similar female imagery that has been important to me, particularly Jessica Rabbit from the movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, which I had on video as a child and watched ad infinitum, and sculptures by Allen Jones which I saw in books. They influenced drawings of women that I made throughout my teens. They may also have fed into sculptures I made in 2007, of male and female figures in bondage - sculptures that I regarded as very sexual.
Here's a fragmented chain of influence, starting with the present:
A sculpture I made in 2007.
Another sculpture from 2007 - that's me on the phone.
A drawing I made aged 17. The french maid costume must have come from seeing a similar one in the movie Clue. The physical proportions came from my fondness for Jessica Rabbit.
Another drawing, aged 16.
I was fascinated by Jessica Rabbit's character in the Robert Zemeckis movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Her designers were Richard William and Russell Hall, although it's difficult to determine exactly who contributed most to her final manifestation. Incidentally, I was also obsessed by another Robert Zemeckis movie, Death Becomes Her, in which similarly glamorous idealised female bodies were subjected to various injury and mutilation.
Sculpture by Allen Jones, 1969.
Artwork by Eric Stanton, 1960s - 70s.
Artwork by John Willie, 1940s - 50s.

Christmas Number 2

Bad Influence at 2 in the USA gay porn rental charts, and on christmas week! Thankyou to everybody at Treasure Island Media and NBCD for their hard work in getting the video out there.
I'm not gloating - this is a rental chart after all, and we don't make a penny from rentals. I'm just excited that the video is out in the world, being seen by thousands of men who I otherwise would never have had any connection to.
